Welcome to my block in the 2013 Whims and Fancies Spring Blog Hop.  Spring to me is lots of butterflies fluttering around the garden visiting all the flowers.  The butterfly chose itself the Ulysses Butterfly.  It is also know as the Blue Mountain Butterfly or Blue Mountain swallowtail.  It is a large swallow tail butterfly and lives in rainforests in northern Australia.

  1. Hi Misha
Thanks a lot for this wonderful pattern! Ages ago, we've been in Australia and the ulysses was for me the most beautyful butterfly there. We've been in Kuranda in a butterfly house, not known in switzerland in these times. So thank you a lot for it... :-)

  4. Oh my goodness!! I'm not sure I'm up to attempting this one just yet. Lots of tiny pieces. I don't know how one designs a paper pieced block but this one looks like it took a LONG time and a LOT of patience. Just beautiful. I'm saving it for when I am more accomplished at paper piecing. Thank you for sharing.
